Selected as Mentor in the AASYP Reset: ASEAN-Australia Youth Innovation Challenge

Masy co-founder Thomas Da Jose selected as Mentor of young innovators from across Australia and Southeast Asia in regional virtual innovation challenge.


Masy co-founder Thomas Da Jose has been invited to participate as a mentor to emerging community leaders from Australia and ASEAN in a new innovative program organised by the ASEAN-Australia Strategic Youth Partnership (AASYP) and supported by the Australia-ASEAN Council.


As one of seven select Mentors, Thomas will be drawing from his experiences in project management, thought leadership and social entrepreneurship as a Project Manager at AECOM, and Co-founder of both Masy Consultants and ASEAN-Australia Strategic Youth Partnership.

AASYP Reset is a virtual innovation challenge inviting recent graduates, current university students and young professionals of all disciplines across ASEAN and Australia to collaborate on projects that foster stronger people-to-people connections between youth in our region. 

The program provides an opportunity for youth to develop their entrepreneurial capacity, build personal and professional connections and showcase their ideas to a diverse public audience.


AASYP Reset aims to:

  • Encourage greater knowledge-sharing network-building

  • Foster cross-cultural and interdisciplinary collaboration 

  • Upskill and support youth in the ASEAN-Australia region to develop and scale ideas that have potential to create long-term impact in their communities


The online skills module, a sprint weekend and a final pitch event and will take place virtually in September and October 2020. During the pitching event, teams will compete for a Winning Prize of AU$1000, as well as a People's Choice Prize of AU$750 to support the implementation of their project.
